COVID-19 Status

As of March 10th, 2020 Mobile Austin Notary is no longer traveling into any Texas:

  • Hospitals
  • Urgent care centers

To perform mobile notary services and meet customers because of the higher risk of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 in these places.

We will however meet people right outside of a hospital or urgent care center or watch people sign documents through a first floor window or lobby entrance door (we’ve done both dozens of times during COVID).

We’re still available 24/7 to travel to your home, business, or company offices to do general notarizations on any type of legal documents and perform I-9 form authorized representative agent services.

As well as performing loan signing agent closings for all our nationwide title, mortgage, and real estate company clients.

We want to make sure that both our customers and Texas mobile notaries feel safe and comfortable when they meet each other during these bizarre times.

Listed below are a few extra safety precautions that you can choose to do or not do (these are merely optional suggestions) and what lengths we’re willing to go to help you feel safer and more comfortable.

When hiring a Texas mobile notary service ask them what measures they’re implementing in response to COVID-19 and if they say nothing or not much go elsewhere with your business.

                What You Can Do…

1. You can put your government photo ID (U.S drivers license, U.S passport, U.S military photo ID card, U.S permanent resident card, U.S state identification card) that you must show the traveling notary public in a Ziploc bag. This way the Texas mobile notary public never touches the actual ID card.

If you’re using a U.S passport to prove your identity please make sure you have it completely open to where you photo is at.

2. You can use your own pen instead of using the Texas mobile notaries pen when you sign your documents in front of them.

3. If you’re going to pay Mobile Austin Notary by cash or a local check you can put the cash or check in a Ziploc bag and give the bag to the Texas mobile notary public as payment.

Or if you choose to pay Mobile Austin Notary with a credit or debit card simply put your card in a ziploc bag. This way when you hand the card to the Texas notary public and they hand it back to you after processing the payment on their smartphone neither party is exposed to each other.

Or you can send us a touchless payment via PayPal or Venmo.

4. You can choose to wear a pair of medical exam gloves when you meet the Texas mobile notary public.

5. You can choose to wear some sort of medical grade mask or face covering.

                 What We’ll Do…

1. Our Texas mobile notaries will be wearing a mask of some sorts. This could be a N95 or KN95 mask, a standard surgical mask or a custom made cotton surgical mask when they meet you.

2. If you feel more comfortable we can have one of our Texas mobile notaries meet you inside your garage or outside on your deck, patio, or front porch to perform the mobile notary services instead of inside your home, office, apartment, or hotel.

Please note this only applies if you have a few documents to notarize (this does not include doing full buyer or seller loan closing document packages that are normally 50-150 pages in length).

If it’s raining outside, cold out (below 50 degrees), or really windy out the mobile notary services will need to be performed inside your home or office.

If the mobile notary public services are to be done outside you must provide a chair and some sort of flat surface (table, TV tray, bench) for the Texas mobile notary public.

At this time we have no idea how long this new COVID-19 policy will be in force for but probably until at least the spring of 2021.

We’ll keep this page updated as we learn more and when things change.

Thanks, be safe, and God bless.
